Regenative injections for all inflammatory disease

Allogeneic Amniotic Membrane injections

Introduction: Allogeneic Amniotic Membrane injections are now being used for painful Plantar Fasciitis. This simple procedure involves the injection of a small amount of an allograph ( living Human Cells) into the Plantar Fascia to help generate new health tissue. Patients who have under gone 6 months or more of conservative therapy with no to little relief are perfect candidates for the procedure. Patients who have come to us with a pain level of 8 to 10 have seen a reduction in pain to a 1-2!

STEM Cell Therapy

How Does Amniotic Stem Cell Therapy Work?

Stem cell treatment, offered by Dr. Cohen, increases your body’s ability to repair itself faster. The amniotic stem cells can kick-start the healing process by creating the cells that the damaged tissues need.

What are the Benefits of Amniotic Stem Cell Treatment?

Surgical intervention can be difficult for some patients and require great amounts of rehabilitation time. On the other hand, Regenerative medicine provides an alternative approach, such as stem cell therapy, to allow the body to heal itself by delivering building blocks of cells that enhance the body’s natural healing processes to work.

  • Amniotic stem cells contain growth factors that stimulate tissue growth.
  • Amniotic stem cells rely on naturally occurring anti-inflammatory agents.
  • Amniotic stem cell therapy is very effective and safe.
  • No risk of patient rejection with amniotic stem cells.
  • Amniotic stem cells help lubricate the cartilage because it contains hyaluronic acid (a natural lubricant of the joint)
  • Amniotic fluid is a highly concentrated source for stem cell therapy

Ligament, osteoarthritis, and tendon injuries are very common complications. Stem cell therapy for feet, ankles, hips, knee, elbows, wrist, hand, etc. is a Non-Surgical alternative for those who suffer from pain.

Stem Cell Treatment for Plantar Fasciitis

Plantar Fasciitis is one of the most common foot problem, affecting more than 1 million persons per year. The condition may be caused by repeated trauma or overuse creating micro-tears in the Plantar Fascia. In cases recalcitrant to conservative treatments, additional diagnostic modalities such as ultrasound or magnetic resonance imaging may be used to rule out other pathologies and to confirm the diagnosis of Plantar Fasciitis.

Clinical treatment of Plantar Fasciitis varies from conservative, nonoperative tier 1 treatments, such as: oral analgesics, rest, stretching exercises, orthotics, cryotherapy, weight loss and corticosteroid injections. More advanced tier 2 treatments such as: Night Splints, immobilization, and STEM cells injection. Chronic cases of Plantar Fasciitis may advance to tier 3 treatments such as: Extracorporeal shock wave therapy, or plantar fasciotomy. Although nonoperative management leads to resolution of symptoms in approximately 90% of patients, this condition is challenging and frustrating for both patient and clinician as several months to even years of treatment is often required before symptoms abate. A treatment that reduces inflammation and heals soft–tissue damage (STEM Cell) allows for the rapid return to pain free activities of daily living.

Amniotic fluid injections provide a prime treatment for foot and ankle pains that can decrease the need for steroids or surgery. In this treatment, amniotic stem cells are injected near damaged tissues and help them renew. Unlike other treatments which destroy damaged tissue or attempt to conceal pain, this treatment can repair the tissue area and has been researched to be highly effective for patients who suffer from arthritis.
